The Kids Only Market on Granville Island is loved by locals and tourists alike. The location, activity mix, and whimsical kid-centric design make this place memorable. In 2020, their popular free, in-person activity calendar was paused and tourist traffic thinned. Their small collective of local businesses needed a digital communications plan to keep them top of mind with their surrounding community.
Dawn Creative started with brand identity consulting that positioned Kids Market as a local staycation and iconic place to make new family memories. A photoshoot with local families brought a day at the market to life, highlighting top activities and fun ways to visit including Mobi Bikes and the Aquabus.

Read the Rainbow
Kids Market vendors handed out flyers inviting guests to join their monthly email, the Rainbow, a free activity listing with contests, prizes and seasonal items available. Amanda incentivized subscribing by offering a free branded tote bag and by advertising the offer online. An automated welcome email and template with easy-to-follow instructions for the Kids Market team rounded out the email marketing strategy.
